Federer strolls into fourth round

Roger Federer defeated J Reister 6-4, 6-0, 6-4 to ease into the fourth round of French Open 2010 at Roalnd Garros, Paris.

Reister, unseeded German, only looked in the match in the first set where he kept Federer running till it was 4-4 and then gave away his service. Federer broke him in the 5th game. The set lasted 40 minutes.

Playing drop shots smartly and firing aces, Federer made his opponent helpless. Reister couldn’t do much as Federer took the game away from him in the second set.

Federer broke him thrice in 18 minutes to take the second set 6-0. Reister never looked anywhere competitive in the second game. He gave away all his break points one after other and did many unforced errors.

Reister looked into the game giving Federer some competition in the third set holding him 3-3. But Roger broke him again to make it 4-3 and went in to take control of his serve and made it 5-3.

Federer had his chances to break the German again but failed by netting and playing outside. It was again his own serve that sealed the match 6-4,6-0,6-4.
